The Timothy Program, Track One, Family Restoration, takes seriously the Commission of Jesus Christ recorded in Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.” It is the conviction of the Timothy Program that God’s restoration of all things (Acts 3:21) has begun and includes restoring the family. Messianic prophecy recorded in Malachi says, “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; …” We are, therefore committed to raising up Heads of Households as Priests in their own home. It is in the home that learning to be pastors is accomplished. We also take seriously I Timothy 3:4 which says, “He (a pastor) must manage his own family well and see to it that his children obey him with proper respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)”
